ESCUELA DE FINANZAS is a Galician private business school. It is specialized in the postgraduate diploma on Banking and Financial Markets. Those aspects that make it different to any other business financial schools are the following:

- Teaching staff. The teaching body is formed by professionals that are currently in a high post on the financial system or that have worked there before. According to different banking institutions, the teaching staff in this school is possibly the best in Spain.

The Fundación Pedro Barrié de la Maza is a private foundation and part of our heritage, which has as its mission to promote the long lasting development of Galicia. The foundation is, according to its herigate (1.800 million euros in December, 2006) placed among one of the most important foundations in Europe. It is the main shareholder of one of the most relevant financial institutions in Spain, the Banco Pastor. With the investment in education and a wide net of knowledge as its main methodology (its grants for the postgrade programme abroad absorbs one million and five thousand euros every year), the Fundación Pedro Barrié de la Maza develops its own programmes in several fields, such as investigation, recovery of the historical, cultural and social heritage; always in Galicia. It counts with headquarters of its own open to the public in cities like A Coruña (headquarters of the Master in BMF and of the Experto in PFD) and Vigo. Its budget for 2007 rose up to 21 million euros.

EXPERT in Financial Derivative Products (PFD).

In South América, ESCUELA DE FINANZAS, collaborates with the most ancient  Stock Market in the continent, settled in Montevideo. In cooperation with this prestigious institution, it offers degrees such as:

EXPERT in Financial Management en Gestión Financiera, especiality “Stock Market Management”.
EXPERTO in Economic Financial Management, especiality “Financial Enterprise Management”.

Collaborating in the development of this one, the Asociación de Empresarios Gallegos del Uruguay (AEGU) participates as well.

The postgraduate programme developed in Montevideo offers a grants programme and the possibility of booking a post for the Galician community in Uruguay. Sponsors of this programme are the Ayuntamiento de A Coruña and the Fundación Galicia Emigración.
